Marian's Story
I have finally settled down here in Standish,Michigan and got remarried after many yrs. being alone. But meeting the man I married was a dream for about 45 yrs and it finally happened he asked me to marry him.The way he asked was " Are you ready for the next step". Of course I was thinking of other things cause I was driving at the time. I took care of this man for 13 yrs. before we were married and then I got sad news about my health and I had to put him in the nursing home where I also volunteer my services. These are special times for us since he is much older than myself. I am at the nursing just about everyday.
I have 4 kids and 9 grandkids and 2 great grandkids. They all live in this area except one daughter and she lives in Tenn. with her husband and one son at the moment. Two of her kids have wondered ou...Expand for more

I have cock-a-poo that is 10 yrs.old and he goes every where I go. They love him at the nursing home.
I am a diabetic now and the learning process is coming slowly. So if there are anybody out ther that are diabetics please let me know how you are doing to keep your blood suger down. when I found out about mine it was 411 and I had no idea until I went to the drs.
So my life is not very exciting but I have a very retired life.
Husband past away last Dec. and since then I have travel to Florida and again back to Indiana. Yes, I have been driving. Just myself and my dog. I am planning another trip to Florida next summer. This way I can see my Daughter, grandkids and great-grandkids in Tenn. Just out of Nashville, love that town, but my home is here in Standish around the rest of my family.
