Marian's Story
Life
Some of you may remember that I was always into some kind of sporting activity in my youth. Well, despite my beat up knees and shoulders and advancing age, I'm having a great time in retirement running two dogs in agility (that's obstacle courses for dogs - like Superdogs) and one in Obedience and Tracking and I'm loving it. Teamwork is everything and the challenge is in becoming that team.
If you look at my communities you'll see that a lot of my working life was in the health care field, either as a practitioner or a teacher. I met the goals that I set out as a high school student and exceeded them. I moved from Calgary to Edmonton/Sherwood Park, to Victoria, then Vancouver, and finally to Bellingham, WA where I've been for the past 20 years.

ow have 10 grandchildren and one great grand-child. They are scattered around the Seattle area and Michigan! Trips in the motorhome to visit them have been drastically reduced as the price of diesel rose so dramatically. We miss them.
Golfing, quilting, and reading are my other passions in life. With family and my health (other than already mentioned), I'm very thankful for all I have.
Dec. 7th saw me under the knife for a total knee replacement. Too much volleyball, hurdling, skating & running over time along with a removal of a torn cartilage back in '72 left me with bone-on-bone arthritis in my knee. Rehabilitation is tough but I already notice there is no longer any pain inside the joint! I a couple of months I expect to be back to normal completly, running my dogs and playing golf!!
