Marianne's Story

Graduated Nazareth High School in 1986 and immediately went on to Lehigh Valley College (a/k/a ABS). I worked for Guardian Life Insurance for 7 1/2 years in Large Accounts Underwriting. I have one daughter. We've been residing in the Poconos since 1994. We've vacationed all over most of the USA, from Maine to Montana, the Dakotas and Texas. We've also cruised the Caribbean. I always wanted to be a veterinarian when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I blow off steam by talking $hit to the person who just pi$$ed me off. I relax by watching some TV or shopping. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have coffee, a bagel, and my sarcasm & wicked sense of humor to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My heroes are my parents. I have been residing in the Poconos since 1994 because my hubby thought it was a great idea to live in the sticks! Well, last year we finally got cable, maybe next year we'll get internet access. I hitched a ride on a neighbor's horse to use the computer at a library. (just kidding, if you back up your reading, you'll see where i said i use sarcasm....alot) The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is actually all my friends from HS, because we had some great times back then. I'm obsessed my daytime soaps and with any reality show on VH1 and A&E. The biggest surprise of my life was becoming a mom. I'm pretty damn good at it. She's turning into a fine young woman. n only get over this turning 16 thing and driving..... If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and bathroom and add on a den. My dream home would be in Hawaii or some Caribbean Island. My daughter and I share our day to day fiascos with each other. Not many mom's can say they have that kind of relationship. If I won $100 million, I'd give a little of it to friends and family, then spend the rest on me, hubby and child. My current age is 40. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old a decrepit. I was so completely wrong. My best friend would tell you I'm nuts, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as down to earth. I share my home with hubby, kid, 2 dogs a hamster and a cat, which I find like a zoo. In 10 years, I hope to be alive. I'm going to get there by staying safe. My oldest friend is Suey. We met over 13 years ago. We clicked because we are WAY too much alike!! I guess the thing that would most surprise anyone since HS is that I'm working in the medical field. My first job was at McDonald's, where I got paid $hit to wait on people at the drive-thru. What I remember most about it is the fun we had after work with the manager, C.J., drinking wine coolers. My childhood memory is growing up in a town where we didn't have to lock our doors and you could walk to a store. I can't do either of those up here. NYers left and right moving in and as I said we live in the sticks the nearest store is 5 miles away. I miss sidewalks too!
