Marie's Story
Family and music have been my life trip, so far. I am retiring from 50 years of teaching piano and organ but still doing some performance. My first husband, Tom Alberti, a commercial artist, is deceased and my new husband, Bill Thomson, a retired high rise builder from NYC, and I have been married 7 years. My two daughters live in MN and TX and Bill's 5. children are all over NY state. Our two brags are: #1. Bill built the first 11 stories of the NYC Trade CenterTowers and #2. I played 200 shows, solo theater organ for the NYC Rockettes in Branson, MO. We both enjoy church, travel, and belonging to and volunteering in military clubs as Bill is a WWll Purple Heart Vet.
I have always been a musician.
Loren Hollander, classical pianist is my hero and inspiration comes from listening to music and spiritual experiences. Love reading the Psalms with music in mind.
The persons from my past whom I'd most like to see again are Mom and Dad. My children taught me to not take myself too seriously.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to my church, then spend the rest on family, ourselves and charity.
I loved living in a dorm on campus because my roommate was my best friend. It was a topic of conversation that roommates did things together!
My current age is no one's business. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be wise and good listeners.. I was so completely right.

friends would tell you I'm really shy in many ways, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as confident and extravert..
Style continues to march on and I intend to keep 'in step'. I will not try to look like a teenager, but I will never dress like an old lady!
I share my home with my husband of 7 years, which I find mostly rewarding, sometimes confining, but worth it for companionship..
I don't 'mantel' my trophies, however, I have won trophies in piano performance and in musical instrument sales which took me to Europe 7 times. My late husband enjoyed the trips with me.
In 10 years, I hope to be still healthy. I'm going to get there by eating and exercising properly..
My oldest friend just died. I sold her a big theater organ 35 years ago. We became good friends immediately and after we were both widowed we did everything together because of our love of music and we both enjoyed a positive attitude and just being happy.
My first job was at Sears, where I wrote up credit accounts.. What I remember most about it is the fallen metatarsal arch from wearing high heels too many hours..
A memorable adventure was climbing over the top of Ouaquaga Mountain in the dark after watching for hours to see my cousin's lamb being born. It got too late, so he took me home the short way so I wouldn't get in trouble. He got back in time to see the birth. We called him Dr. Payne from then on.
