Marilyn's Story
When I was in School my name was Marilyn Diane Spradley I had to drop out of school in 1968 because I was pregnant with my daughter that year I was suppose to have graduated when my graduation class was going down the aisle I was about to have my baby. My baby girl was born June 30, 1968. I had already gotten married that year in February. By the time I had my baby my name was Marilyn Diane Daughtry. My intention was to go back and finish school the next year but a month after I had my baby girl I had gotten pregnant again. So I was unable to attend school then I had my son May of 1969. l that I went back that september and finished and receive my diploma in 1970. I had two babies. I had a rough time with a husband and 2 children while trying to finished school. then in 1972 I had a third child. but then after 10 years I divorced my husband. I raised my three children on my own until I met my second husband and had 2 more children. My name is now Marilyn .Diane Gathers. So now I have 5 children, 5 grand children and 7 great grandchildren I just had a birthday October 25th I am now 67 years old and feel really good.
