Marilyn's Story
Life
First and foremost, I am mother to a wonderful little girl (Faith) and as of December 20, 2007, fiancee' to the greatest guy ever. Brian and I are getting married August 2, 2008 here in Douglasville. We just bought a house in March and trying to get it ready for Faith and I to move in after the wedding. I am a full-time Nursing student at Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University scheduled to graduate in Dec. 2008! Faith is finishing up private Pre-K and cannot wait until Kindergarten! She turned 5 in December (2007) and I cannot believe how grown she is.
College

e less than a year to go! I am a Piedmont Scholar and I am looking forward to working at Piedmont when I graduate. I have received a scholarship from Johnson & Johnson ~ The Campaign for Nursing's Future and several other small scholarships through the school (thank you Jesus!). I was also recently added to the 2008 Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Workplace
I am blessed since I do not have to work while I go to school. (Thank You Lord!) There is no possible way that I could work while I go to school, but last summer I had the opportunity to be a nurse extern in surgical services at Piedmont Hospital. It was a very valuable learning experience and maybe someday I will work in SS.
