Marilyn's Story
Life
Life had taken many turns since may days at AND. I'm a storyteller and travel around the Mid-west to schools and festivals. It is the joy of my life. I've been telling for over 20 years now, and, yes, I tell stories about "life" at the Academy - rich fodder. Larry and I have lived in Fairview Heights all our lives. We plan to stay here. My 3 children are grown and we have one beautiful grand daughter. We hope to travel now that our golden years are up...Expand for more

Workplace
Elementary Teacher for 11 years mostly at St. Albert the Great in Fairview Heights and St. Clare's in O'Fallon and a short stint at Wolf Branch School in Belleville. Then, I worked as the storyteller and assistant youth service librarian for nearly 17 years at the Edwardsville Public Library. Since 2002, I've been telling stories professionally at schools, libraries, museums, after-dinner speaking and a couple of festivals here and there.
