Marilynn's Story
After graduating from CV High and then from Scripps College (1964), I raised two children (a girl, then a boy) and learned how to teach English in high school!
In 1975, I received a job offer to teach at CV High! Amazing!! And the classroom I was assigned was Mr. Keller's ... even more amazing! I loved teaching at CV.
The school grew and grew, to the point at which it was pretty hard to recognize if I thought only about the buildings and ambience when I was in school there. By the time I retired in 2002, there were over 3,000 students each year.
I also taught English part-time at College of the Desert for a total of 8 years, 3 of which were after I retired from CV. That was a superb experience, too. Such a terrific teaching situation with wonderful support from the administration and other faculty.

as born in 1992; then the second in 1995; the third and fourth in 2000 and 2001. The first three are my daughter's children; the fourth is my son's daughter. They are all great fun!
I moved to Texas (north of Houston) in 2005 to live near my daughter and help take care of her children so she could go back to work. Kids are not cheap, as we all know, and life on only her husband's salary wasn't getting all those extras paid for -- sports, musical instruments and lessons, school activities, and chauffeuring, chauffering, chauffeuring! Now the oldest is at University of Texas, and that just adds more expense, even though he works some, too. His grades are excellent, though, and we don't want to mess too much with that!
Life continues! I have a lot of trouble digesting the fact that our class has already held our 50-year reunion!
