Marjorie's Story
I spent 15 years as a Sister of St. Ann after graduation in 1958. Then I went North to teach for a couple of years, before working in Grand Forks, Kelowna, and the Comox Valley. I married in 1977 and have a son and daughter. In 1997 I took early retirement from teaching, but returned to Deae Lake and Atlin for another two years of teaching before going to Taiwan and Thailand to teach English. Now we live in a lakefront home in the Cariboo, where it is very beautiful and peaceful, but somewhat boring at times. I still attend the Catholic church in 100 Mile House and go down to stay in Merville with our son in the home we still own there also.
I do some strenous physical work or lose myself in a crossword puzzle to get rid of negative feelings.
Mother Teresa is a big hero of mine.
