Forever grateful to Larry and Melissa for introducing me to the love of my life, Jeanie Ann. On a blind date no less.

Three dogs:
Mine: Kelly - an 8+ year old golden retriever. As the only other boy in the house, one can imagine how close we are.
Jeanie and Daughter #1: MacKenzie, our 2 year old million dollar german shepherd/ Wippit mix. Got her from a rescue shelter and immediately thereafter came down with Parvo. Invested my life savings into the stupid dog just because I couldn't bear the look in my kids' eyes when I considered putting her down. Now, she combines with #1 daughter to teach me patience. Lots and lots of patience.
Jeanie and daughter #2: Ivy our "free" dog. When we called the rescue shelter to complain about MacKenzie, they didn't give us our money back, they gave us another dog! Who just happened to also be sick but this time within intestinal parasites that quickly spread to all 3. We then learned the expensive but highly disgusting processes involved of eliminating such parasites from the dogs, our house, and our yard. Just a hint - hundreds of dollars worth of Borax got spread all over my yard - we had the cleanest smelling backyard that year!
Favorite hobby: Reading - Michael Connelly, Patrick O'Brien, T Jefferson Parker, Lee Child, Steven Pressfield, etc.
Favorite subject: History - currently fascinated with naval history (thus, the love of O'Brien, Dewey Lambdin, amonth others. Also love ancient Rom and Greece to a certain extent. Reading about their conquests you learn they were much better engineers back then than what we've had since, even today.".
