Mark's Story
Life
Let's see, now. Got thru the rest of the 60's and managed to get thru veterinary school at Mizzou. Things were a bit foggy on weekends, but we live and learn. Married college sweetheart from Stephens College, Estelle, in 1977 after we had moved to Las Vegas. Her dancing carreer (6 years with Siegfried & Roy, plus other Vegas shows) and my long hours as a veterinarian created a bumpy road that resulted in divorce in 1988. We have a daughter, Audrey, Remarried in 1991 and have another daughter, Madison. Divorced again in 2000. Fast forward, Maddy is engaged, Audrey married and lives in DC. I'm semi retired after selling my vet practice and working part time. Enjoying travel, cycling, food and drink.
College
Went to KSU out of highschool. Pledged Delta Tau Delta and enjoyed Manhattan, but went back to Missouri ...Expand for more
in order to have a better chance at getting into veterinary school. Graduated with DVM in 1974 and have lived in Las Vegas ever since. Married twice (now single) and have daughters from each marriage, now 36 and 23.. Enjoy cycling (mostly road), the gym, cooking, some travel, shows and concerts. Parents have both passed away and have sold the old house in Santa Fe Hills.
Workplace
I went one year to Kansas State, then transferred to Mizzou for the rest of undergrad and veterinary school. Took a job in Las Vegas in 1974, bought the practice I where I started working, saw the town grow from 220,000 to 1.5 million. Owned a 4 doctor practice 100% small animal with some exotics. Have been married twice and currently enjoying single life. Have two daughters, Audrey (23) and Madison (10). Primary hobby right now is cycling.
