Mark's Story

Hey there...welcome to my profile story. Thanks for the visit. You may wish to sign my guestbook, too. Please feel free to do so. Though, I presently am not a paying member here, and Classmates doesn't allow me to read my guestbook signitures. Here's a thought, jot me your name on my bulletin board. I get email alerts of bulletin board postings and am able to read the first 40 or so characters left on it. Thnx Mag Born third son of four boys, in Chicago at the tail end of the '50's. Father moved us all to Baton Rouge when I was about three. It was the turbulent '60's and I saw some historical moments, including the Black Panther Militant riot on the Capitol. Attended, a "defacto" segregated Broadmoor Elementary for my entire primary yrs.-Graduated 6th grade 06/1972. One week later, my family moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida during an interesting period in that community. Apollo was waining & so was the local economy. Enjoyed living there when it was still a quaint place, but still filled with the excitement of NASA space missions, such as Apollo XVII's night launch and The Skylab Launch. Attended Roosevelt Junior High for 7th & half of 8th grade. Then, in the dead of winter '74, Father moved us to South Bend, IN less than 80 miles from where I was born. We were close to family again, but far from the warmth of the South, and a lifestyle that had been my only life up to then. Fi...Expand for more
nished middle school at Clay and Graduated from Clay High 06/06/1978. Attended Indiana University at So. Bend after Clay High. Worked several jobs at the same time, and I ended up with my BS in Business Administration & Management in the summer of '86. I paid for 3/4's of my education expenses out of pocket and had no loans or debt upon graduation. Settled in South Bend. Have been a successful part of several organizations since graduation. None were very remarkable in themselves, but collectively they have made me more of a believer in "charting your own course" in life. I'm Still in the "mainstream" of culture, but self employed; Which is code for, I'm President & CEO of M & M Enterprises. Been with my wife over a quarter century. Married 18yrs with one son. Have remained close to several friends that I've known 30-35 yrs. Enjoy traveling and seeing my old home towns from time to time. Living a quiet, unassumming lifestyle, free of conspicuous consumption and secular humanistic motivations suits my maverick character just fine, as far as I'm concerned. Anyway, peace and goodwill to all you peaceful and fair minded friends. Regards, Mag Update: Presently, I am not a paying "Gold Member", and therefore can not see guest names in my guest book. But...please feel free to jot me a personal email note here, as I can read those still from you great Gold members. Thnx, Mag out...
