Mark's Story
Life
Hey! Since I left California in 1985 I've been living in Texas. I lived in Austin for three years and the DFW area ever since. I got married in 1992 and divorced in 1998. I have 2 children, Danielle,22-YIKES!!! I have an 22 year old daughter, and I am guessing that any of you that have children can relate. How did we get to a place where we have children out of High School? I also have a son, Hunter,who is 18. My Son moved in with me back in 2004 while his sister is still living with her mother. I feel so honored to have the opportunity to be a daily factor in my sons life.
I was in the restaurant biz for 15 years. For the last 5 of it, I hated it. I ruptured the 2 bottom disc's in my back in 96 and was out of work for 2 years. Major surgery and lots of rehab. No more restaurant work. So I took a job in the Auto Industry ...Expand for more
and did that for 9 years. I was a business development manager/Internet manager for Nissan, Dodge and Lincoln Mercury dealerships. Lots of hours and weekends. Once I got custody of my Son it made being in the car business an inconvenience. I finally got out in 2007 and got a job working as a loan officer, specializing in Reverse Mortgages. Monday through Friday, 8:30 am till 5:30 pm. WOOHOO!!! My first Monday through Friday job ever!!!
I have hopes of finishing a novel that I am working on sometime in the next year. I have been working on it for 8 years now though and am starting to wonder if I will ever finish. I am an avid fan of Fringe and The Walking Dead and Homeland and really anything that is well written. I love music and reading and one day hope to travel to Greece.
