Mark's Story

Life During college, I met my wife, Beth. We have two wonderful children, Nathan 15 and Tori Lynn 12. Nathan is a little know-it-all, does extremely well in school and is finishing his sixth year playing the trumpet. He just finished his first year of high school, and he is currently tied for number one in his class. He is in the Health and Science Academy at school, and seems to thrive in it! He is about to start his second year on his high school's golf team. He loves watching sports with Dad and Grandpa, especially the Illini and St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals have been exciting and painful to watch this year, as well as Ilini basketball. Tori plays all sports she can get into. She is a chip off both her parents blocks. I think her real sport will be basketball, she has played competetive basketball for two years now, subbing on last years state qualifying seventh grade team. She recently completed Lincol Christian College's basketball camp, and she got the award for "Miss Hustle!" She really has a nose for the ball. Tori and Nathan both play golf with their Grandpa in the summer, going out every Monday morning! Beth works for the local newspaper in the circulation departmen...Expand for more
t. It is quite the thankless job and the hours are horrible, but she seems to like it. I kind of wish she could find something else, but she seems entrenched in this for now. I just changed jobs. I work for a local nursery/landscape contractor. I have been in the industry full time for 16 years and part time, an additional eight years. I run the financial sapects of the business, which sounds boring, but it has been very exciting! We are a one year old business, that has struggled, but this year we are showing really good profits, in a down economy, so I am very happy! That is all I can think of right now! If you have any questions, please email me, I always love to hear from old acquaintances. At my age it is difficult to make new friends as I have become a professional chauffer for my kids. Now I know what I put my parents through! And with divorces of friends and relatives, I have lost touch with a lot of people that I held dear to my heart through the years. Heck, I would love to hear from old girlfriends even. I just like to catch up on things that have gone on in other's lives and relive some exciting times, since exciting times seemed to pass with the having of kids. Now I live for them!
