Dear Classmates, The Short Story: Starting at the start, I was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA and attended schools as follows: East Silver Spring Elementary School, Silver Spring Intermediate School, Highland View Elementary School (During the days around the baby boon it seemed as if some of my classmates and I played "musical schools."), Eastern Suburban Junior High School, Montgomery Blair High School, and The Bullis School. Graduating from Bullis in 1962, I entered the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) at Annapolis from which I graduated in 1966. Since then, "continuing education" continues. :-) During "Plebe Summer," 1962, my family moved to Ojai, California, USA where I met my wife to be, Johnnie. Johnnie and I became instant best friends on our first ("blind") date, and were married at Annapolis USNA on graduation day.
