Mark's Story
Life
The photo was taken a month ago (March 6? 2007) in Mexico City at the national museum.
I work as a teacher in Montreal where I have been living since January 1981. I had arrived in Quebec a year and a half before to take an immersion course in French and just never got around to leaving. Before becoming a teacher I did social work, mostly in Vancouver and a little in Toronto. I ran a treatment home for kids, I did some acting, I worked on a salmon fish boat, I worked as a waiter in a hostess club in Japan and also on the CP trains between Vancouver and Winnipeg. f whom are functionally illiterate in their own language and I teach them how to read and write in English. I speak French and Spanish and I have taken an interest in learning Chinese. All in all, life has been interesting.
Three or four years after leaving Vincent Massey, I figured out that I was gay - didn't really know before then. I have been with my partner, Arturo, for almost eleven years and all in all life is good.
If anybody wants to drop me a line to say hello, please feel free. Even though my folks are getting on (they're both 83), they're still living in the same house just off Eringate in the old neighborhood and I try to get down as often as is possible.
