Mark's Story
College
I wanted to go to school away from Eau Claire and that lead me to Chicago and DeVry. At DeVry I was able to go to school and work part time to pay my way as I went. I wasn't really ready for the big city, but I had to and found others in the same position as myself. I didn't finish in 4 years, but I did graduate in the winter of 82. I did enjoy the time I spent in the "Windy City" and spend time there with friends everytime I can.
Workplace
I have spent my whole life after school working in data communications field. I worked at Motorola helping designing the first Cellular networks in the US back in 82. I have since worked for phone companies, Internet service providers, Cray Research, and now at Unisys. I now design computer networks for clients.
Family

ill have to stop calling them that. The one daughter is at the U of MN, a boy at Iowa State and the third is a boy and a HS junior. All three played soccer with the two boys being team captains and all conference. The middle boy is also an Eagle Scout.
Life
We enjoy camping at various state parks across the upper Midwest and canoeing. Have been to the Boundary Waters with the scouts and hope to go a few more times. Still fish and deer hunt when I can. We take in one Packers game each year in Green Bay and now hold a 21-4 record for home games since my first in 83 (includes Milw games). One game a year makes it real special and the games get rotated between family members, so each of my kids has seen 3 games. Need to plan a couple of long drives out west to see Yellowstone & Glacier in the next couple years.
