marla's Story

Well Hello Everyone! The first thing I must let you know about me is, there are alot of names on here that sound soooo familiar but, Im totally at a loss with remembering faces to go with the names! Seriously, is anyone else having this problem or, am I just in need of some "Ginkobiloba" to help improve your memory? LoL! Although my problem might have something to do with the fact that I didn't graduate from Bountiful High School with my class of 73. I didn't even get to finish the 10th grade due to being expelled at that time for getting pregnant at the age of 15. Then I was forced to get married because at the time it was believed to be the 'Right Thing' to do. My husband was drafted by the Army and sent to Vietnam. When he got back we were stationed to Savannah, Georgia for two years. So, I didn't even live in Bountiful much until after that. However, the friends I did have were in the company of Barbara-Linda-& SteveTyner, Becky Reed, Peggy Hedberg, Jon Reese or Reed, Janean Winegar, Donna Moore, Roger Strader, Brad Oakley, Veda Mae Strader, B...Expand for more
ill & Todd Talbet, Jeff Blood, Roger Guymon, Larry Christensen & Frisbee, to name a few. So if you remember me, maybe you could help me out by telling me what 'you' remember. Or, if you happen to know how to get in touch with any of the friends I mentioned. I live in Oregon now and truely feel blessed by having my one and only child, now my best friend, my son Jeremy. He lives 40 minutes away in Vancouver, Wa., married for 20 yrs. now (whew) and making me a proud Nana of two, Jantzen & Halo. I remain single and currently employed with the State of Oregon by DHS as an In Home Care Provider. Just recently finished yet another course in health care & soon to finish class in Advertising & Promotional >anagment. I keep pretty busy, don't like being idle and find alot to do in this beautiful state. I enjoy the rivers here so much mostly, with swimming and fishing. But I have to confess, there's NOTHING like home when I'm missing the mountains in Utah and my chilhood in Bountiful!! Thanks for your time-Hope to hear from you soon! HAVE A BLESSED DAY!
