Life
Remember me?! The only Newfie to ever go to Seminole High. I am now living in Newfoundland,Canada where I was born and raised. I will never forget my Florida experience it has changed my life. I moved to Florida my Junior year and it took me a long time to fit in. I found one niche that helped, Pre-vet classes at SVEC where this city girl met with the farm!! I joined the F.F.A. (Future Farmers of America) Go ahead laugh, I sure did. But I met 10 people that eleven years later are still my best friends. The other experience wasn't so pleasant but changed my whole life. h Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma and had to write my final exams at home. I was able to graduate but on the big day I didn't throw my cap because my wig was attached to it. I had to return to Canada because the health care in the U.S. is quite expensive. I have dealt with my illness three other times after High School, the last being a Bone Marrow Transplant.
So I am still alive and smiling and if you remember me from High School, pleased email me and say hello. I don't get to come to Florida often but the State and the people will always have a big place in my heart.
