Martha's Story
Hi everyone,
I got married right out of school and moved around alot. In 1997 I moved to Oklahoma with my 3 day old son. Two years later I divorced and went through a rough custody battle. I married my second husband (my soul mate) in 2001. We have a four year old son and my husband is helping me raise my oldest son who is now almost 12. I now live in Tularosa and
finally I have been able to go back to college where I am currently going for a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science and I am planning...Expand for more
on going to law school. There is so much I want to do in life and I finally feel I can.
I had a rough time in middle school because I was so shy and many kids were cruel because of that. I think I learned to treat others with kindness and respect because of this. I've tried to teach my oldest son to always be kind to others and be a loyal friend.
My future plans are to eventually move to Florida where my husband is from and to work in the public defenders office. We'll see how that goes. Plans tend to change.
