Martha's Story
Presently in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, (near Turkey), living with my youngest son and his family... having been invited to share their every day lives with them and their baby Sonya born February 2007. I've been here since April 2007 and plan to stay with them until they complete their assigned "tour" in USAid. This is my second trip abroad. My first trip was in 2003 to Yerevan, Armenia, where my son was the country director of the Peace Corps. So far my health has been good and I've had enjoyable times. Who knows what next year brings...so I'm taking advantage of what has been so unselfishly offered. My granddaughter is adorable and growing up fast. I feel exceptionally fortunate. Living alone in Kentucky has been put on hold for now.
UPDATE: In August, 2010, I moved to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (east Africa) with my son and family. Craig still works for USAid and is planning to be in here for 4 years. We are just one block from the Indian Ocean. So beautiful.
