My life has been one BIG adventure! I've had ups and downs but no regrets. My daughter Marisa Penland (17) and my son Marek Penland (27) are a result of 26 years of marriage to Mark Penland, my high school sweetheart. Yes, we got married about 10 days after graduation at the ages of 17 and 19. He went into the tugboat business after working as a charter boat Captain for several years, in Destin. I went into the real estate business in 1978 and am still active today. Although, I started out selling real estate and eventually co-venturing a company, my main job now, is teaching FL real estate license courses. Mark and I did a lot of traveling before kids: Egypt, Greece, Antigua, Spain, England, Mexico... Once we had children (after 13 years of marriage) we settled down and only ventured a few states from home, but of course the main destination on most vacations was to Orlando (MICKEY). In 1998 we divorced and still remain on friendly terms today. Mark moved to Panama City and I moved to Midway, FL. In October 2001, I married Rusty Kaemmerer from Gulf Shores, AL and we moved to a 40 acre farm in Molino, FL just 13 miles north of Pensacola. We proceeded to start an Angus operation. We felt like doing something totally different than either of us ever had done before. Raising Angus cows was a tremendous learning experience and extremely satisfying, although a lot of hard work was involved. After 2 major hurricanes and some other life changing hurdles, Rusty and I decided to seperate in 2009 and will soon be divorced. I will really miss the farm experience and have many happy memories of that phase of my life. My daughter, Marisa is an accomplished rider in Western and English.
