Martin's Story

You can read my bio at the website with which I'm associated in my part-time job as an online adjunct instructor in nonprofit marketing for the University of Illinois at Chicago (cnm.ec.uic DOT edu/instructors/martin-berg/) My career has been spent entirely in nonprofits in the Chicago area, to which I moved permanently in 1973. city limits. We don't have kids. I'm still a Cardinals baseball fan. And my philosophy can be summed up in a quote from the title of a play our class did in Fr. Jonathan Foster's speech class in senior year: "It Will Be All Right On The Night." I was laid off from my last job as the marketing director of a Chicago nonprofit affordable housing lender in 2015, but I've begun a new business copyediting doctoral dissertations and master's theses.
