Marty's Story
Life
I suppose I was born a wandering man. I left highschool, and traveled the world to see all I can before my short time on this planet ends. So far I have made it to 39 countries, and have made many friends from around the world.
Im looking foreward to visiting as many states as possible when We retire in 2years. I visit 2 states every year when I return to the U.S. each summer.I have made it to all but 2 countries in Europe which is my favorite place to live. Ive been here now for 30 years, and have settled into a fantastic life.
My job for Hitachi Business International gave me much freedom to travel and do business in Germany and Italy.
.I do miss home when Im away, and am always happiest with my wife of 28years by my side.
Growing up as a military child left me with a certain wanderlust that has never waned.
The more I see of this world , the more I want to see more of it.
When I turned 50 ,9 years ago,my youngest daughter gave me a book of 1000 places to see before you die, and I am set on making as many as I can.
My hobbies are Fly fishing and model railroading.
I persue each with great passion when time allowes ...Expand for more
and my pocketbook says yes.
I love to shop for nicnacs also, when Im with the woman of my life.
My oldest daughter is a 2nd grade teacher in Tacoma, and we plan to retire in the area in 2 short years to be near our children my youngest daughter is a manager for Safeway in Montana.
All I can say is Im very happy the way my life is now and I bless each day that I am so fortunate that I have a life that giave me early retirement.the freedom to come and go is truly awesome to behold. I never punch a clock nor do I set such a solid schedual for life that I cant have time to play somedays. I suppose of this I have very little gray hair and no wrinkles on my face yet. My daily stress level is nil, and I am my own boss most of the time.
I Made my home in Bamberg Germany for the past 18 years. I came here as a soldier many eons ago and stayed here because of my wifes employment with the U.S. Government.
IF you ever find youself lucky enough to travel to Germany, look me up. Im always open to company from home.
