Since leaving Chicago in the late seventies I have been in outside sales and lived in CA & Tucson with my wife of 35 years in March of 2009 . I now live in the land of enchantment in Las Cruces, NM for the past 2 1/2 years where I am enjoying our new home in the magnificent desert & organ mtns! I also have a beautiful and very bright 19 soon to be 20 year old daughter who ventured out on her own and moved back to Tucson . She left us with her now 3 year old adopted doxie mix who we & many generous Tucsonans helped save by having a shunt put in her heart. We also have an 11 yr. old female sable German Shepherd who takes the remote in her crate. We desperately need the dog whisperer as we have to separate them. We now also have a beautiful Indian ringneck parakeet ( a small parrot ). My wife warns me to watch my language before it starts learning to talk! LOL! I also have a sherbet canary that serenades us every morning My wife is a 6 year breast cancer survivor. We celebrated her 5 year milestone with friends and family last year in Chicago. Having to deal with mine and my wifes health issues we try not to take life and the people in our lives for granted. I have also been a volunteer advocate & state policy liaison with my wife. We have lobbied both in DC & in Santa Fe for health care reform. We are the unofficial information & referral contacts for anyone needing help with health care .
