2 Aug 2013 - I lived in Renault in Monroe County, IL, until I was nine, and I attended the Renault grade school for grades one through three. I added my name to the Waterloo HS class of 1962 in hopes of contacting others in the class. I believe there were five of us at first, and my memory is that there were only four in 1952-53. I remember two first names and can picture these people, but that's about it. Life It's hard to imagine that anyone cares, but here goes. (02/04/07) I retired from teaching in 2002 after thirty-four years: twenty-one in public schools, thirteen teaching inmates as a Department of Corrections Educator. I had served as an adjunct English instructor for Spoon River Community College and MacMurray College as well. My wife Joanne retired two and a half years later, and we've been able to do some traveling, but I think we most enjoy being at home on our sixty acres of Illinois River bottoms and bluffs -- none of it's actually tillable land, unless you consider timber a crop.
