mary's Story
May 13th,1969 I was married to John Oliver Keyser in Halifax, N.C because his parents wouldn't sign for us to get married. We met at Fort Belvoir on April 12th, 1969, One month one day later, we were married. Now 51 1/2 years later we are still married , had 4 boys, 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. We live in Andover, New Hampshire. Been here since my first son was a year old, born 1970. I have traveled every year to Virginia until my mom passed in 1988 in a car accident. My dad passed in 1997.
My husband and I have a 1942 ford pickup truck he put together from scrap pieces he was given for $50 dollars. We have been camping and at car shows many times since it has been done. Adore all ...Expand for more
my grandchildren and great grandchildren and see them when I can, they all live at least an hour away except two teens which live across the street from me.
I miss Manassas Park and the good times I had in the streets playing touch football and baseball with Ronnie Dickerson, Johnny and Tommy Maserick who lived on my street and my brother Floyd.. Also miss Sharon Plumadore- Furr, ( Ronnie's step sister), who was my best friend.
Worked at Zayres, for 21 years till it closed, then the Mall of New Hampshire under security information desk, and dollar tree for another 11 years there before retiring in 1914. Miss the people but alot seem to remember me from Zayres. lol. Pretty much my life here in N.H.
