Mary's Story
Hello Everyone,
I guess I don't know where to start but here it goes. After graduation I went to Western Michigan University and got my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. I then went to the police academy (followed dad and brothers foot steps). I was a police officer in the Kalamazoo/portage area for 15 years. During that time I met my husband Michael Cook and we were married in 1998. It will be 10 years this year and I can say 10 wonderful years. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful husband. My mother passed away in October after we graduated in 1983 and my father passed away two weeks before my wedding in 1998. I can say losing both of your parents is the hardest thing in the world.
After I left the police work I went to work for Homeland Security as a Emergency Dispatcher at the Battle C...Expand for more
reek Federal Center. I stayed there for 4 years and Mike and I decided to make the big move. We put the house up for sale left our jobs and moved to Phoenix, AZ.
We arrived here in March of 2008 with no jobs and a new start. I can say we are doing well and LOVE it here.
Mike and I have no children which not by are choosing. We have our 3 but now 2 dogs. We had MOJO our german shepard our pride and joy but we had to send him to Heaven after 10 wonderful years with him. We now have Maggie (beagle bassethound and Maddie Lab sharpei mix) and they are our spoiled children.
My grandmother is 91 this year and still doing well in St. Joe. We miss St. Joe our friends and family but we needed a new start.. I will always call St. Joe my home and will always come back to visit.
