Mary Ann's Story
Life
Married High School sweetheart, had two kids, boy and a girl, divorced. Then married the friend of hubby No. 1's cousin. That was 35 years ago. Two beautiful granddaughters. If I'd known grandkids were so much fun, would have had them first! Turning 60 end of the month, having a party and inviting all the neighborhood KIDS!!! Life is a blast! I may have to grow up - I don't have to grow OLD! I work as a writer for a major Florida paper...It only took me until I was 50 to land my dream job. I'll probably stay here until 70 for benefits and fun. It's nice to get paid for doing what you like. Worked in...Expand for more
banking and enjoyed that...and many other jobs. Actually enjoyed all of them to some degree. LIFE IS GOOD!!!! (now.)
Update March 29,2005. Hubby had stroke April 2003. Wheelchair bound now. Needs someone here at all times. Luckily company lets me work from home as much as possible & I get respite 12 hours a week. I use that to go to office and do what can't be done here. We have finally reached a point where laughter is once again a big part of our lives, and nothing will keep us down. I still have lotsa years and life left. After all, 63 (in May) is only late mid-life! Let me here from some of you!
