Mary Beth's Story
Life
After graduating from Radford School, El Paso, in 1966, I attended Rice University. It took about 10 minutes in Physics 101 to discover I was NOT science major material. But I was determined to stay at Rice and ended up an English major. I met Larry Blankenship my Freshman year and we married in August 1970 after graduation. works for Dow Chemical in Freeport, Tx, and I teach French at the local high school. Our children, Houston and Amanda, are the best. And now we enjoy our grandchildren, Rebecca and Laura, too! We continue to visit Rice for theater and sports events, especially Owls baseball. Our entire family is active in community theater; I act and direct. Travel is a special love and gives Larry the opportunity to find new recipes which I get to enjoy!
