Mary's Story
Life
I live and work in Santa Cruz, CA. with my husband, Rick Erb. Between us we have 5 children. We enjoy getting together with family and friends, art, theatre, music, Vegas, Hawaii, cruises and living next to the ocean.
College
Attended Chaffey Community College in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Transferred to the University of California - Santa Cruz and graduated with a B.A. in Modern Society and Social Thought in 1994.
A late bloomer and I loved school, books and reconnected with my passion for writing. It was much more rewarding than if I had gone straight from high school. Being a re-entry student had it's rewards!
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Pattie Stutzman, because she was the kindest person I knew in high school.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my bedroom and add on a jacuzzi. My dream home would be a large cottage with a wild garden.

My first job was at my neighbors, where I got paid $.50 hr. to babysit. What I remember most about it is I loved being able to be with children and watch whatever I wanted on TV. The money was nice too!
I always wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a silly idea. As it turns out, they were off the mark.
One of my favorite ways to relax is to have a relaxing lounge, a good book and a peaceful environment.
Lately my inspiration comes from Jaycee Duggard. Her faith and hope never left her in spite of all she endured. Any expression of the heart of our human spirit always inspires me.
My best friend would tell you I'm very loving, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as standoffish.
Kathy Sartell is my first and oldest friend, we were neighbors at 5 years old and we clicked because we grew up together with Barbie's, the Beatles, boys, bicycles, yard games and all the things that we shared. We missed our Father's most of all.
