Mary's Story
Life
I'm married to Dan for 18 years now. This is 3rd marriage for both of us. I have 1 daughter and 1 step-daughter, plus 5 grand-children (1 boy and 4 girls). Dan works for DGS [which is part of Delta, doing on call maintenance for all the airlines at the Huntsville Airport and he is also the main mechanic on a Sabreliner [jet] that is owned by a retired Dr. from here in town. He is also a private pilot, and that works out good, so that if we want to go somewhere, we can rent a plane and fly. It saves alot of driving time. I am now completely retired. I no longer work any where, except here at home. Dan is busier than ever. As of July 1st, 2012, he gave up his job with DGS, due to health issues and is now going to be an instructor at Calhoun Community College for their aircraft maintenance dept. Last year Dan got his MBA and is now working on his PHD in Business. As of this year, Dan is now back with DGS, and back in charge of one other person. We have two...Expand for more
dogs now, Sugar a female, that is a Beagle mix and our newest family member, Annabelle, is a Jack Russell & Chihauhua mix. We call her our wild child. She is into everything and loves to tear up paper any time she can get ahold of some. I am into genealogy and have been working on my family history for about 15 years. As most people know, a family history is never complete, as we are always finding lost relatives and having new ones added to the family. Dan was in the Air Force for 20 years, so he has traveled to alot of places [like Greece and Japan], before we were married or knew each other. He has some great memories of his time in the service. We would love to be able to go back to some of the places that he has been to, so that he can show me..
Well, things have changed for me again. Dan has decided he wants someone 30 years younger then him, so we will be getting divorced, soon I hope. I plan to stay where I am and stay single for the rest of my life.
