Life
Update: I've recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. I will be having surgery in a week & then radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks after that. A friend of mine has given me a great phrase to live by through all of this...Faith NOT Fear! I will update those interested in the outcome. I do believe that I'm going to survive this! I have my wonderful husband, beautiful daughter, loving niece, & great friends that are super supporters!
I have been married to David Ubel for 22 years. We have a daughter, Jaide Ashtyn, who is 15 years old. She keeps us busy with all of her extracurricular activities...basketball, softball, and Ban...Expand for more
d. Other than that, we don't get out that much. (That's pretty evident when people run in to me & tell me they didn't know I lived in Dodge.) There just isn't any extra time. Drop me a note; I'd love to hear from old friends!
Workplace
I have been at Linn Elementary for 15 years now. I taught 5th grade for 4yrs. and the last 11 I have been teaching 4th grade. I love the teachers and the kids. I know, I know, Mary Gibbons a teacher?! Who'd have thought it?! Well, it is true and what goes around DOES come around. My students show me what it is like to have a kid like me in the classroom. To all my former teachers...I am so sorry!
