Mary's Story
Life
Still live a half hour from the house I grew up in (where my parents still live). Finally bought a house with my college roommate (Beth); neither of us can afford a house alone, and neither of us has any prospects of anyone else buying one for us (husbands/boyfriends/rich parents). It's a nice little house on the river that unfortunately needs more fixing up than we counted on, but it's already worth half-again more than it was when we bought it in 2002. one dog, two cats. For fun, we make stained glass, attend science fiction conventions and Renaissance Faires, and still play D&D whenever time permits. I still scribble endlessly in notebooks (and am too chicken to submit anything for publication). I'm a Technical Writer by trade, but I still have faint hopes of someday being a famous author. I drive a Pontiac Vibe named Badger (yes, I named my car; the only one I never named was my Chevy Malibu, because it was too hopeless to have earned a name).
