Mary's Story
Life
Joined the Navy at 22. First duty station was Sigonells, Italy. Met my first husband there. Next station was Helocopter Combat Support Squadron 8 out of Norfolk, then on to the USS Theodore Roosevelt where I was accepted for the Medical Enlisted Commissioning. I went to Old Domion University for three years and got a Bachelors in Science and Nursing and a divorce. I was commissioned as an Ensign in May 03. k things slow and it developed into a good solid relationship and we where married at his mothers home on the river in Sep 04. I have recently been promoted to LTjg and am working in the ICU and oriented to CardioThoracic surgery and as CT nurse. I am enjoying every minute. Who knows what the future will bring. I am taking my CCRN in Dec, and am thinking about a career as a CRNA. Undecided at this time but it is an option. Trying to get an operational billet on a ship for my next duty station.
