My father is full Portugese (fm Cabo Verdes Islands), my mother is part American/Indian (lenni-lenape) & African/American. I was born and raised in Salem, NJ, went to St. Mary's Roman Catholic School-grades 1 through 7, we moved to New Shrewsbury (now Tinton Falls), NJ in the summer of 1966. I went to Tinton Falls School for 8th grade, graduated 1967. Went to Monmouth Regional High School, graduated 1971. Graduated Brookdale Community College 1973 with an Associate of Arts degree- Education major. Went to Delaware State College, Dover, Delaware for Fall 1973 semester, left . Married (Dennis Dorsett) in 1973 had son Kenny-1974. and also went to Douglas College, New Brunswick, NJ. Separated fm husband then joined Navy in 1978 (wanted to get away). Boot Camp Unit 3031 in Orlando, Fl-1979, went to Radioman 'A' School and stationed in San Diego, Ca-1979 to 1981, Agana, Guam-1981 to 1984 (temp duty to Diego Garcia, Manila Philippines, Seoul, South Korea, Tokyo Japan & Djibouti-I flew with the planes P3's) daughter Shante born here in Guam 1982.
