Mary Jo's Story
Where to begin.....lets see... I graduated in 90 and joined the ARMY. I spent about a year in training and wound up in electronics maintenance. Wouldn't you know it as I was sitting in class one night they called us in to watch the news, we had bombed IRAQ for the first time. Fortunately they didn't send me to the desert just to more training where I wound up breaking my neck. No broken bones though so they shipped me off to GERMANY for 2 years, I left that beautiful country the day that I turned 21and was sent back to Georgia for another round of training. From there I finished out my service time at FT BRAGG, yes it can be larger than life out there. I was released from the service in 1997 with just under 7 years served (they wound up putting 6 screws and 2 rods in my neck)...bottom line...no running or push ups and you are...Expand for more
no longer needed for Uncle Sam. I am on my third and final marriage to a wonderful man that makes time for me and our family. We have a beautiful daughter who is a lot like me(well at least me before I realized that I wasn't bullet proof) athletic, fearless, little bit frilly and all personality. The other baby that we have is a 1970 CHEVELLE that my husband and I are restoring. It is a slow process (mostly due to lack of time and funding) but we enjoy doing it together. I moved to Oklahoma in 1998 to work for World Com, you all know where that went, they are all in jail. I am still at the same place but we are now Verizon. I am a SR NETWORK TECH and wouldn't trade my life for anything. Hope to keep in touch with old friends, I am a YANKEE at heart. Oh and since my surgery I am hooked on SUDOKU on this damned Nintendo DS.
