Mary Jo's Story
My last couple of years in HS were pretty messed up due to my parents divorcing. I got married instead of going to College.(Guess I was searching for a family life again....Definitely was not ready for marrieage and also chose the wrong person. Moved to Athens, GA where my brother was.....worked a lot, played softball and partied quite often with friends and the college students that lived in my highrise apt building.
Got tired of working so much and partying too much along with missing the rest of my family. Moved to Florida in 1978 and live in Sanford for awhile where most of my family was and still is, then moved to Stuart where my dad was living with his wife. Met Bill Townsend from Ft. Pierce and eloped in 1989. Had my "miracle baby" Maureen in September of 1990in Sebastian, FL (I was told at 25 I would never be able to have children.) She is the greatest blessing in my life.

ong other issues but I truly loved him at the time. Maureen and I finally had to get away from him so after my divocrce became final, we packed up my Cavalier with everything we could and moved from NC back to Sanford, FL in August 2002. I moved back to Sanford, Florida to be with my family.
Hard to believe I'm 58......I don't feel it! (Well, maybe sometimes.) Maureen is a Freshman in college now along with working full time as a shift manager at Steak N Shake, and wants to be a surgeon.
We have both been on stage at the Andy Griffith Playhouse doing community theatre. We were living in Mount Airy, NC. (Andy Griffith's hometown) It is like "Mayberry" in a way because everyone there was so friendly like Mayberry. We lived there for about 5 years and everyone welcomed us with open arms!
I would love to hear from anyone who wants to get in touch. This is so great! I have not been able to make any reunions, so finding out about everyone this way is fun! Please e-mail when you can. Take care and God Bless.
