Life I don't remember if I had given any information for the 10th reunion so I'll start from after high school. I attended the University of Indianapolis on a partial basketball scholarship and also played on the softball team. I loved playing basketball for my college coach. Unfortunately, he passed away when I was his assistant my last year there (I was on the 5 year plan) and I became the interim head coach. That was definitely a learning experience for me which I enjoyed very much. After I graduated with an elementary education degree, I applied at different colleges / universities for Graduate Assistant positions. I ended up taking a full-time basketball assistant coaching position at Valparaiso University where I coached for 5 years. I met my husband there, we married on October 7, 1995 and during the 97-98 season I found out I was pregnant with our first child. Maria was born in December of 1997. After that season, I decided my coaching career would be put on hold but I was the director of their summer basketball camps for the next few years.
