Life
Still single, my oldest son has graduated from Apollo and my daughter has now graduate and is at WKU. I am playing the saxophone again as a few of you have witnessed (thanks for not laughing) seeing me with my band at Friday After 5. I picked music up again after 25 years and I am having a blast. I play in two community bands and in the orchestra at church. I am still working at RiverValley Behavioral Health, just celebrated by 26th year with the center. Still very involved with Special Olympics, in fact I am getting ready to take a large group to the state games in Richmond, Kentucky. I go to an adult band camp in Ohio one time a year, no marching....thank Goodness. Still have a great life, still very involved in church through the music ministry. Have met some great people during the past five years through playing music. It is nice to seek out the other "Band Geeks"......it is a great relaxation and stress outlet for me. the area and have even reconnected with former bandies and band directors. I have gotten into collecting swing band music from the 30' and 40's. We did a swing band Christmas program at church two years ago and it just lit a passion. I recently attended the Tamarack Carnival, for all you Tamarack alumni....it rained!!!!!!!! I have a new dog, she is a Golden Retriver and her name is Golden Slumbers Sweet Maggie May. I had Mikey, my lab mix put down due to his hips failing. Mikey was with me for 14 years, and I miss him very much. Maggie is named for my favorite Beatles song and Rod Stewart song. I worked the word Sweet in there because she is very sweet. Workplace
I have worked for RiverValley Behavioral Health for the past 25 years. I currently supervise (22) residential homes for adults with mental retardation and/or a physical disability. I manage a staff of 35 on a daily basis. It is very exciting work...I always have said if I didn't work there I would pay to get in....
