Mary's Story
Life
Graduated, went to NCSU, got married, had kids, quit school. Went back to school (NCSU). Divorced. Took forever but I finally finished the degree & got a job I wanted at NCSU. Very active in State Employee's Assoc. Do pottery although it's no longer a hobby - it's now a self-supporting addiction. Life long dream is to travel - just about anywhere I haven't been before.
College
1 year of going full time and 14 years part time but I finally finished!
Workplace

ears in accounting and was very bored. Finally have a job I like - I manage the Student Accounts section for the NCSU Cashiers Office. It's frantic, stressful, challenging and never boring.
Left NCSU (new boss -straight from HEdoublehockysticks), now working with the State Employees Association of NC .Back into accounting, but love the people here! Still doing grassroots lobbying at the General Assembly, trying to make sure all my friends who for the state get a fair shake.
