Mary's Story
I was married at 21 and moved to Port Jefferson Station, where my husband, Jack, and I raised our 2 sons and 2 daughters. We sailed our sailboat for many years on Long Island Sound. We also did alot of fishing and cruising on the Sound. I enjoyed bicycle riding with a bike club for a few years. I worked for IRS as a tax examiner from 1974 until 1999 when I retired. oyed going to dog shows. My husband passed away in 2003. I moved to Ridge in 2005. I have six grandchildren; 3 boys and 3 girls. I keep busy with my grandchildren. I still see Cathy Marino Kiss and Terry Quitoni Ambrose for lunch or dinner or a movie and we travel together sometimes. I do love to travel but I don't always have friends to travel with. After High School I worked in Manhattan as a typist clerk from July 1959 until March 1963.
