mary's Story
Hi! I was known by my nickname Tina. I graduated from Centenary College in 1970. My degree was in elementary education. I have taught in Shreveport, Louisiana, Riverside, California, and here in Little Rock where I have resided since 1974. I retired from Little Rock public schools in 2001 and have been pursuing many and varied interests and volunteerism since. My husband and I have two sons in their mid to late 30's. One is in banking here in Little Rock and the other is in competitive fishing film production in San Antonio. Neither is currently married, but I'm keeping fingers crossed.

rutiny as a result of many years of desegregation litigation which unfortunately left the district with a small white population. Test scores are not nationally competitive and there are rumors that the schools may have to go into state takeover and supervision. In slightly over 30 years, there have been 22 different superintendents which has only added greatly to the general instability of the schools.
Little Rock is still a progressive and interesting community in which to live, despite its educational challenges in public schools.
