Matthew's Story
School
It was all great! Elementry, Junior High and High School, a wonderful life. Lots of living and learning, thats for sure. I would not trade a thing, except, for maybe the 11th grade. I wish now, that I had not skipped the 11th grade. I miss not having that extra year of High School to enjoy more time with great friends and some more soul searching. Guess you can say, I was in a hurry to get out into the Big World. But, not to worry, all is good and that is want counts.
Workplace
Working for the FoodLoin during High School and for the year after graduation was really cool, and a great experience.

Military
Well, what can I say, I am still with the Navy and doing very well with it.
Of course being in the military isn't a get quick rich kind of job, thats for sure. But, it does pay other dividends.
My tours on the Navy Ships, have taken me to many different countries, which is an experience in itself.
Being stationed at overseas locations, has been a wonderful experience for the kids and I. More so for the kids, something they will never forget and made a big impact on their life's.
I will be retiring soon, hopefully in less than four years. Imagine that.
And watch out, I might come back to Mechanicsville and run for Mayor, lol. Thats funny huh.
