Maureen's Story
Well, I live in Rogue River Oregon now. It's a beautiful place in Southern Oregon with rivers, creeks, lakes, and trees, and 4 acutal seasons every year. There is only one freeway in Oregon, the I-5, and it goes past us, with one exit. It's only 2 lanes until it gets to Portland. (fast lane and the truck lane) After High School I went to 3 different colleges to study Animals. Have 2 A/S degrees: Animal Science/livestock production, and Exotic Training and Management from Moorpark College. Just this summer (2008) I took my State Board exams to become a Certified Veterinarian Technician. That's what I am currently employed as. Wildlife Rehabilitation center, and was the Director of a non-profit Animal Shelter. None of these paid well, except for the government job, but were either fulfilling, or interesting. I always have a small farm of animals at home.
I was married for a short period of time in my 30's. No children (other than my ex) I'm engaged now, but taking it slower then the first time.
I still keep in touch with some of my friends from High School and even earlier but would love to hear from more of them whom I think of often.
I still have my bagpipes, but unfortunately have not played them for some time, nor can I, without blacking out.
