Maureen's Story
Life
Well, just in case anyone actually looks at this:
4 years ago moved from Fremont, CA to Pine, AZ. Needed to get out of the Rat Race. Now living in mountians at 5500 ft elevation. Very small town where I work as a Realtor. No kids. 1 dog, 2 cats. Have a nice house on an acre of land. Married 18 years now to the same guy!
Problem: In CA I trained in Tang Soo Do 3 nights a week for 3 hrs at a time. Was in great shape. Moved to this small town, did not keep up with the exercise. So now I am embarking on a life style change to correct poor health habits adopted when I moved here. It's going great so far! I'm loosing weight and feel great.
School
PA Walsh elementary : Favorite teacher was Mrs. Parker, 2nd grade. Fun 6 yrs for the most part.
Britton Middle School: NOT a pleasant 2 y...Expand for more
rs. Too much of a geek and the bullies seemed to not like that very much - go figure! Pretty typical middle school experience I suppose.
Presentation HS: Made new friends who liked the same 60's rock I did, all girls though. Went to LOTS of concerts and met quite a few rock stars (THANKS KIM!!). Overall a very fun time.
Gavilan: GREAT fun in my life. Lots of great memories and met good people there. Trying to find them again!
Univ of San Diego: Got BA in Liberal Arts and a teaching degree which I never used, but the education was great and living in SD was awesome!
Hobbies: Mostly Medieval recreation with an organization called the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism,Check it out at SCA.org.),gardening/landscaping, natural health, computer gaming (Still a geek I'm happy to say!).
