Maureen's Story
Life
Married in 67 and worked at JFK airport from 70 - 97. Retired to the Florida Keys. In 2005 my husband passed away.
Sang in the church choir and did volunteer work at the community food pantry. In 2005 befriended a Venezuelan woman who needed help when her sailboat was damaged when hurricane Katrina hit our area. In January 2007 my friend and I, alo...Expand for more
ng with her dog and my cat drove out of Florida and started driving to Central America.
We drove thru Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. We had a worderful time visiting the vative villages, ruins waterfalls and volcanoes. Returned to the USA Feb 2008 after a wonderful adventure and thankfully only 1 life threatening experience.
