Melanie's Story
Life
I'm enjoying life and keeping pace with new technology, working at Oracle Corporation Canada Inc.
I'm a Business Practices Analyst, which means that I'm part of the team that ensures business standards across the company, for business ethics and corporate compliance. I worked at JD Edwards, which was then acquired by PeopleSoft and finally by Oracle in a hostile take-over. You may have followed the saga in the papers. It took a full 2 years for all of this to transpire in Canada.

ompetitor, Siebel. Fast-paced and always changing, it makes for a busy and productive work environment and I am happy to be there.
I'm still teaching piano parttime and also find that very rewarding. I also volunteer with a group that does drug education with kids and find it very fulfilling to give back to the next generation.
I got married in December 2006 to Earl Smith.
