Melissa's Story
Life
I married David Hanks on January 8, 2005. We honeymooned in Rome and Paris, then returned here to start our life together. Life has been pretty busy with friends and family, but we're enjoying it. We just got a puppy named Jake. He's a little black labradoodle.
School
I was driving down the road the other day and remembered the "I love Jesus" cheer from high school. That cracked me up! I don't think I really have a desire to return to school but I guess the lack of responsibility was pretty great. Other than that, I think college would be more fun to re-experience.
College

s is nice now but really I'm not sure what I was thinking! ;) I sometimes do wish I was back there. "Adult life" has its perks but nothing beats skipping class to spend the day in a different town. I miss all my girls being in the same town as me rather than being all over the country. Maybe we'll be close together again someday.
Workplace
I was gung-ho business after graduation. But, ever since we got engaged, I decided to lay off for awhile. We don't want to wait too long to start a family. It doesn't make sense to me to work my butt off just to quit and stay home in a few years. Right now, I'm a nanny...it's kind of like an internship for motherhood! ;)
