More about Phillip:"I had been a floor nurse for a year-then advanced to DON of nursing home. I taught Math & Science as a sub along with working as a nurse-I was not lazy-I loved to work with Adolescents more than working with Doctors that have a "God" complex tor eds dying adults & children. Doctor's either hated me or loved me -I always did my job & did beyond my duties. I was on call 24/7 for many years, except when i attended a funeral of family member's. I worked this hard while raising two sons-Shayne & Patrick & later my husband Ray (CO) at this time. The saddest day of my life was when I assisted the Doctor at Shands Hospital disconnect Shayne from his life support. We nurses do this sometimes on a daily bas...Expand for more

I went in auto mode with the Doctor-then held his hand till his heart stopped-I went into shock but still did my job as a mother & professional. Thoughts of you whom I don't know and reading this -Shayne had (Ewings) cancer he was only 17 yrs old-He passed November 25th 2003.
Patrick soon to be 27 years old is married to a very beautiful young woman Lynsie. I cannot wait to called grandma when the time comes. The Marine's couldn't break Patrick-Heaven have mercy on his children-He will be a great Father & teach them well of the evils of this world. I've made through many botched surgeries-some wondered how I lived through them- I've almost died close to 4 times-Surgeons here are the worse-Now it is difficult to walk some days better than others-seizures has dropped from 10 a day to one a month(because meds are working), I cannot drive any more-soon my hands will not function as normal. The most I asked of Ray is move to Indiana- I was born there and want to die there-Only thing else to say I am the only Catholic in my family & I am not ashamed. Just before I would die I may have some words of wisdom or cuss like a sailor since I lived in and around the Bay area. Would anyone attend my funeral-I guess maybe 5- I could be wrong. This is me!".
